Meet the LAC Early Childhood Center staff!
Dr. Yuri Feynberg first began teaching in St. Petersburg, Russia. There he specialized in teaching intellectually disabled children at Lapukhinka, a home to roughly 400 students. Within his first year of service as a third grade and corrective speech teacher, Dr. Feynberg was promoted to the position of Principal. There he was able to ensure the needs of his students were properly met by a caring faculty and continues on his mission of helping today at Life Adjustment Center, Inc. his main company which he founded in 1991 to assist adults and children with disabilities. Now, he has expanded his expertise to all children.
Hi, my name is Vlad Borsen. I am the head of the Administrative Department and overall financial management of LAC Early Childhood Center. I hold an MS in Economics and Finance and have over 25 years of business and administrative experience.
Hi! My name is Stacey Weinberg. I am the Education Director at LAC Early Childhood Center and I am so happy to be here. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Literacy Education. I am fully dedicated to early education and I am excited to bring my experience and education to LAC!
My name is Tricia Lay. I have been teaching for five years and currently finishing my Master’s in Education. I believe as an educator it is my responsibility to empower children to excel throughout their learning process. I believe that my passion for children allows me to help instill a love for learning, and for students’ desire to grow!
Hello Everyone! My name is Samara Vega. I've been teaching children between the ages 3-5 for 3.5 yrs including two years teaching Universal Prekindergarten via the Department of Education (DOE). I currently hold a Bachelor's of Science degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College, NY in Sports Management and will be enrolled in a graduates program in Education from Toura College. My career goal is to become a professionally licensed Early Childhood Education Teacher as well as a Youth Fitness Specialist. I truly believe that the first 4yrs of life are the most critical when it involves development of the brain and body and as educators, it's our job to build a strong foundation in preparation for the rest of their lives.
Hello! My name is Melissa Malave. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking and invites sharing of ideas. I believe it is conducive to allow a child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning. It is also important for children to develop the skill of thinking critically.
Hello everyone. My name is Jezebella Chiquito. I have been working with children for five years ranging in ages from infants to fifth graders. My interest in teaching began at a very young age and has always come so natural to me. I enjoy watching children grow, learn, and build confidence. I believe that children need to be in a positive environment to be able to do their best. I am currently attending college, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year!
Hi! My name is Yadira Tejeda. I am working on a Master's degree in Psychology and am currently working on a degree in Child Development. I love working in this field because I truly love teaching children. It's so exciting to see them learn something new everyday. At LAC, I hope to be able to help children develop to their full potential!
Hi, my name is Brian Arroyo. I grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. I went to military high school in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico and I am currently in college for animation and motion graphics. My previous work with Boys & Girls club made me realize my interest in working with children, I'm eager to grow and learn with the children of LAC. I am fluent in Spanish and am currently learning to speak Japanese. I'm looking forward to sharing these skills with our students. My objective at LAC is to create an excellent learning environment and to help each student develop and learn.
My name is Pamely Segura. I have an Associates’ Degree in Social Work and I am currently working on my Bachelor’s Degree for Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching in Early Childhood settings for the past three years. I enjoy being around children, and try to make a positive difference in every one of my students.
Hi, my name is Roselyn Rodriguez and I'm so excited to be a part of the LAC community! I have been teaching in a preschool setting for 4 years and I believe children learn best when they can explore their environment and learn through play. I am currently completing my Early Childhood Education degree and looking forward to providing a safe and nurturing environment. Its going to be a wonderful year, full of new friends, adventures and new discoveries!
