Meet the LAC Early Childhood Center staff!
Dr. Yuri Feynberg first began teaching in St. Petersburg, Russia. There he specialized in teaching intellectually disabled children at Lapukhinka, a home to roughly 400 students. Within his first year of service as a third grade and corrective speech teacher, Dr. Feynberg was promoted to the position of Principal. There he was able to ensure the needs of his students were properly met by a caring faculty and continues on his mission of helping today at Life Adjustment Center, Inc. his main company which he founded in 1991 to assist adults and children with disabilities. Now, he has expanded his expertise to all children.
Hi, my name is Vlad Borsen. I am the head of the Administrative Department and overall financial management of LAC Early Childhood Center. I hold an MS in Economics and Finance and have over 25 years of business and administrative experience.
Hi! My name is Johanna Torres. I am the Education Director at LAC Early Childhood Center and I am so happy to be here. I have a Master's degree Education. I am fully dedicated to early childhood education and I am excited to bring my experience and education to LAC!
My name is Jennifer Ayala. I have been an Educator for 8 years and have a Bachelors is Sociology with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have 5 children between the ages of 14 and 4 months. I will be starting a Master’s program in the spring of 2019 in early childhood education. It has been great being a part of LAC and it has been a wonderful journey. I believe that getting children to feel comfortable in their learning environment is a very important part of education with this they can open not just their minds to you but their hearts. I have so many great things planned for our kids and for you as well. Here is to a great and productive school year.
Hello my name Benjamin Osafo, age 24, was born and raised in West Africa, Ghana. He is a college graduate from the University of Albany, with a degree on African American studies and in history. He has a strong passion for young children and believes that it is important to have constant interaction and bonding with them
Hello everyone. My name is Jezebella Chiquito. I have been working with children for five years ranging in ages from infants to fifth graders. My interest in teaching began at a very young age and has always come so natural to me. I enjoy watching children grow, learn, and build confidence. I believe that children need to be in a positive environment to be able to do their best. I am currently attending college, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year!
Hi, my name is Brian Arroyo. I grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. I went to military high school in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico and I am currently in college for animation and motion graphics. My previous work with Boys & Girls club made me realize my interest in working with children, I'm eager to grow and learn with the children of LAC. I am fluent in Spanish and am currently learning to speak Japanese. I'm looking forward to sharing these skills with our students. My objective at LAC is to create an excellent learning environment and to help each student develop and learn.
Hi, my name is Roselyn Rodriguez and I'm so excited to be a part of the LAC community! I have been teaching in a preschool setting for 4 years and I believe children learn best when they can explore their environment and learn through play. I am currently completing my Early Childhood Education degree and looking forward to providing a safe and nurturing environment. Its going to be a wonderful year, full of new friends, adventures and new discoveries!
Hello! My name is Cristal Cruz, and I am 22 years old. I am a big sister to my two younger siblings, who inspired me to be a teacher. I also have two years experience of teaching children from ages 2- 3. My dream is to teach in South Korea, until then I look forward to making wonderful memories here at LAC.
